Snow fun

I had a little photo shoot with Xavier out in the newly fallen snow.  All 2 feet of it!

Sleep training

After much fear and hesitation, we finally decided to unswaddle and sleep train Xavier.  In the end, we had nothing to fear, it wasn't horrible.  Last night he cried less than 15 minutes.  Woke twice during the night and only cried a few minutes both times.  Not bad for a baby that loved to be swaddled.  And he slept the whole night on his stomach.  This photo looks like he has his head to the side but his mouth and nose were implanted on the mattress.  It was a bit worrisome.  

For his naps today he cried a bit longer but managed to fall asleep on his own both times.  He was never swaddled for naps.  Usually sleeps on his side.

And finally, for tonight, he cried less than 10 minutes.  Hopefully he'll sleep through the night like always.  Fingers crossed.

Lowering of the crib

We finally lowered the crib today, Xavier had to check it out.

Crawling adventures

Crawling is a hard skill to learn, especially if you won't let go of the remote!

Aquarium

Xavier loves loves loves his toy aquarium in his crib.  It's always on.. off.. on.. off.. with lots of smiles.

When Daddy dresses the baby...

Paul helped me out this morning by dressing Xavier.  When I started undressing him at the doctors office I got this.

Xavier update:  still just a little guy at 27 inches and 17 pounds 5 oz.  This was after just finishing an 8 oz bottle and with a very wet diaper.  

Laundry help

I don't know if Xavier thought he was helping by pulling all the neatly folded laundry unto himself but it isn't much help.  And it's always when you turn your back for 2 seconds.

New expression

Here's the new face Xavier has been doing.  I like to call it his "Watch out, I'm about to get upset!" face.  We try not to laugh.  But it is funny.

We much prefer this one.

Hi and Bye

Xavier is quickly learning hi and bye.  See for yourself.

New friend

Xavier met a new friend today. A nine week old puppy named Miller.  Xavier laughed when he first met him.
